90210 News: Dylan and Brandon's Infamous Return
I fear my 90210 love is dwindling...I found Tuesday night's episode disappointing, predictable and cliche (Did anyone really think Annie was going to sleep with him?) and where did all the adult story lines go? Not to mention my anger over the deceiving preview!! Perhaps the excitement/intrigue I felt after watching the preview is why I felt let down by the actual events in this week's ep. To be fair, it wasn't all bad, the episode definitely had some nice twists, but nothing that totally shocked me, unlike this week's Gossip Girl, I hate to compare, but Chuck's puppet-master reveal at the end and OMFG "Queen S" as she walked by Dan, were absolutely amazing moments. I'm starting to feel that 90210 is reusing everything I've seen before without the necessary fresh new take on it, and while I do concede that being a remake complicates this, all the "Who is going to actually Guest Star?" drama is only making it worse. I mean how long are Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth going to stay? Luke Perry and Tori Spelling are pretty much dead set against coming back, and I don't know but at this point is it really looking that good for seeing Jason Priestly? So to compensate for all this drama what do the producers do? Resort to having them (and not even their voices) call on the phone!?! Umm yeah, lame! Replace the actors or something because I can see this getting really ridiculous really fast...you can read the whole story (*warning spoilers*) via E! Online's "Watch with Kristin"
Does anyone else fear that this show is going to run out of drama by the end of the first season, and we will suddenly be seeing an O.C. collapse happening all over again? Don't get me wrong, I'm not calling it quits--I've never been one to stop watching addictive Teen Drama, but unfortunately I won't look forward to it nearly as much.
